Single vs. Settled - The morning after the night before

What motivates some of us to settle down, when others are on an everlasting hunt for another notch on the bedpost?

Cherry wants answers - so she invited a group of people to take part in her brand new series, How To Get A Life to find out what a model relationship looks like.

"I met a lot of young men and women along the way who were equally promiscuous, and some not at all, who were making up their rules as they went along," Cherry explains in her latest BBC blog.

"Some that I met had slept with high numbers of partners and told me that they love sex and are single so what’s the problem? How many is too many and who decides anyway?" She continues.

"The first episode holds lots of other surprises and, of course, I overshare massively - my poor mum."

  • I'm so glad I watched your show, I've seen your other documentaries but this one really hit home. I'm about to move in with my boyfriend of 3 years into our first place together. We've just finished our third years at uni, and for him his degree has ended, but I've got another 2 years. I've had such mixed reactions from so many people. I've heard everything from "congratulations" to "I guess we wont be seeing you then". It was so nice to watch a program which made me feel that I should do what I think is right, be it settled or single I can still have a good time. It's taken so much peer pressure induced anxiety away. Thanks so much :)

  • I just really wanted to tell you about my life a bit. I am polyamourous, I am in a realtionship that I hope to be in it for the rest of my life. Me and her are adventurous and we both act single at times, we invite eachother to sleep with others and such, and if she wants I will give her privacy for that.

    Its simple like that, very simple. I dont see why people have to complicate things by sorthing people into single, not single or slag or virgin. It's not what I believed ever should be the case froma young age.

    We are very much like the couple that you met jannette and james I believe were their names.
